You may have heard the rumors and we have to confirm it is true. Alan Ray Bridal in Dublin, Ohio has closed its doors after 35 years. But rather than a planned retirement celebration we are sad to let you know they vacated in the middle of the night leaving their clients stranded.
Here are some of the things that you can do to remedy the situation:
- First call your credit card company to see if you can have the charges reversed. This is why you always hear wedding planners say put everything on your card that you can.
- Call the manufacturer or designer. You need to have the following at hand: date you placed your order with Alan Ray Bridal, dress style number or name, size, color and wedding date. We have already been successful having gowns and bridesmaid dresses rerouted to delivery to other authorized retailers for our clients to pick up.
- If you have trouble getting a hold of anyone at the designer try another authorized retailer. They may be able to work with their sales rep to get you a response.
- Look at preowned gown sites or stores like Luxe Redux in Worthington to see if they have your gown available.
If all else fails call J. Lauren Events. We may be able to help you work with a local boutique to ensure you have a beautiful gown on your wedding day. As you can imagine, everyone in the wedding world has heard and are willing to work with the couples that have been affected.
UPDATE!! We have had so many calls from worried couples today. Here is a quick cheat sheet
