This week I had lunch at Bar Louie at the Easton Town Center.  I met the sales manager who told me how much they love having bachelorette parties and they now have a special menu just for the ladies.  I love this idea and it makes planning a cinch!  You can even add on little gift bags for all your guests. With locations downtown and Easton it is a great way to kick off your pre-wedding festivities!

Sporting Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

by Jen on June 8, 2010

in Parties

Rehearsal dinners no longer take a back seat to other wedding activities.  They are a way to thank your wedding party for their support and welcome your guests. You can personalize your event by incorporating a hobby or special interest.  Are you or your partner an avid sports fan?   Then here are a few unique venues to personalize the festivities.
    1. See the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. The season runs October through April.  The arena offers private suites with gourmet catering.  Its central location makes this an ideal spot for out of town wedding guests.
    2. Batter up at Huntington Park with the Columbus Clippers.  The Clipper’s season runs April through the beginning of September, but you can rent the space out any time of year. Enjoy a game or experience having the ballpark all to yourself.  Check out this great video of the park by one of local wedding videographers, Prodigy Video.

  1. Avid golfers?  Check out the Jack Nicolas Museum located just West of OSU’s campus.  This little known gem is great for large parties and formal dinners.
  2. Head over to Crew Stadium.  Their temperature controlled private suites are available for rent.   The Crew’s season runs March through October. You won’t be limited to ball park food, the stadium offers prime rib and rosemary infused pork tenderloin.
  3. This being Ohio we know someone in your wedding is a Buckeye fan.  Go all out and have your event at the Ohio Stadium. With multiple spaces to choose from you can find a spot that fits your event perfectly.

Are you incorporating a hobby or interest into your rehearsal dinner?
