Dry cleaning involved using a solvent called perchloroethylene, which the EPA calls a health and environmental hazard. Green up your gown preservation by using a local dry cleaner that uses an alternative cleaning method such a CO2 cleaning.
You can locate green cleaners using the EPA’s guide or go to www.nodryclean.com.
Sorry for the delay, our regular Tuesday post did not go out as scheduled! Grrr…technology!

Now you may be are thinking how can I go green with music? To be honest, I wasn’t sure how to do it either. I am excited to tell you that one my fabulous couples came up with this idea. As a musician, the groom pointed out that some instruments did not need to amplified, therefore requiring little or no electricity.
My personal favorite is a jazz band with a brass section. Most reception venues are not large enough to require the brass or percussion instruments to be amplified thus saving on electricity.
Ha! I was making eco-friendly suggestions without even knowing it. I love it when that happens. So be green and keep your guests dancing till dawn!
